The successful candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy, materials science, engineering, or a related field, with experience in laboratory management and a commitment to quality control.
Responsibilities:
- Testing & Compliance: Oversee and participate in mechanical and metallographic testing, ensuring accurate, repeatable, and reliable results for clients across various sectors.
- Leadership & Team Development: Manage a skilled team of laboratory staff, provide training, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Quality Standards: Ensure all lab processes meet quality management requirements and regulatory standards, maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
- Equipment & Calibration: Oversee the calibration, maintenance, and operation of laboratory equipment to ensure consistent, top-quality testing results.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Flexible Working Hours: Core hours are Monday to Thursday, 10 am to 3 pm, and Friday, 9 am to 12 pm.
