Job Role

The PCB Test Engineer will be responsible for testing, fault-finding, and identifying repairs for a range of products to meet customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and fault-find production units and PCBs to component level using Test Specifications and circuit diagrams.
  • Repair and assemble products, with the ability to carry out soldering to IPC 600 J standard 001.
  • Produce meaningful investigation reports and Statements of Work.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Provide regular updates to meet the needs of each customer regarding the status of the units.
  • Demonstrate a level of innovation within the cell to assist continuous improvements.
  • Program PCBs and devices using Programming Loading Documents.
  • Perform inspection on all activities as and when required.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.
  • Order and check/reject components.
Requirements

Electronics biased qualification or equivalent experience.

IPC Standards.
