Job Overview

Omega is seeking a skilled PCB Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for testing, fault-finding, and repairing a range of products to meet customer commitments in terms of quality and timescales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test and fault-find production units and PCBs to component level using Test Specifications and circuit diagrams.
  • Repair and assemble products and be able to carry out soldering to IPC 600 J standard 001.
  • Produce meaningful investigation reports and Statement of work.
  • Provide assistance to Engineering with investigation units.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers.
  • Provide regular updates to meet the needs of each customer regarding the status of the units.
  • Demonstrate a level of innovation within the cell to assist continuous improvements.
  • Program PCBs and devices using Programming Loading Documents.
  • Perform inspection on all activities as and when required.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and kept up to date.
  • Ordering and checking/rejecting of components.
Requirements
  • Electronics biased qualification or equivalent experience.
  • IPC Standards.

Candidates with experience as a Test Engineer, Service Engineer, Printed Circuit Board Technician, Test Technician, Test and Service Engineer, Support Engineer, and Electronics Engineer are encouraged to apply.
