Role:

We are delighted to be working with one of the UK's most successful insurance brokerages. This role will involve inheriting a book of commercial insurance business and growing the book. Due to continued growth, our client is currently looking to employ an experienced Insurance Broker with experience in a wide range of commercial risks.

Salary: £40k to £60k plus (dependent on experience) plus commission and extensive benefits and car allowance.

You will ideally have over 3 years of experience within a commercial insurance brokerage working with a wide variety of commercial insurance risks. This would suit either a current client-facing broker or a current Commercial Account Handler looking for the next step up.

About the Insurance Broker role: You'll be overseeing a book of commercial insurance clients across a range of industry sectors. You will be a point of referral to more junior members of the team and you will use your expertise and experience to help with queries and occasional training/mentoring. You will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross-sales and referral leads.

Main duties in this role:

  • Responsible for growing a book of commercial clients through new business and arranging policies for new clients.
  • Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention (renewals) of clients.
  • Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the business.

The skills you'll bring to the role:

  • Thorough commercial insurance knowledge of at least 2 years in commercial insurance is required.
