Cardiovascular Specialist

Competitive hourly rate: £40-£60 per hour

Spire Nottingham Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiology Nurse with TAVI experience to join our award-winning specialist cardiology team. We are growing our Cardiac service, including vascular and structural procedures, and cardiac surgery, aiming to become the leading cardiology department in the East Midlands.

We have recently opened a new ITU department for complex cardiac procedures and TAVI. Our patients receive the highest levels of care across various areas of the hospital, including cardiology pre-assessment, cardiac catheter lab, cardiac outpatients, theatres, and supporting wards with cardiac patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake clinical procedures requiring dexterity and accuracy, scrubbing for routine and complex interventional cardiology procedures.
• Assist with cardiology patient care, non-invasive cardiology services in Outpatient Department and Surgical Ward departments.
• Pre-assessment on cath lab patients, scrub preparation for TAVI valve prep, and current NMC registration with no restrictions on practice.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years' experience within a cardiac catheter lab scrubbing for routine and complex cardiology procedures, including EPS ablation.
• Flexible approach to work and working patterns.
• Previous scrub experience essential; EPS Ablation experience advantageous.
