Import Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Import Coordinator to join our team at Reed. As an Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing inbound movements on behalf of our clients, ensuring their interests are prioritised while also delivering on the strategic objectives of our group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process pre-advices and shipping documentation.
  • Issue notices of arrival and customs clearance instructions.
  • Book FCL and LCL deliveries, including merchant and line haulages.
  • Handle day-to-day invoicing and profit reporting.
  • Follow up on purchase orders/shipments and communicate with overseas offices/partners.
  • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provide customer reporting.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven deep sea import experience.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good telephone manner and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle pressure.
  • Friendly, calm, and professional demeanour.
