About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for managing daily anticoagulation nurse-led clinics, receiving direct referrals from General Practitioners and Consultants, and coordinating all investigations and treatment for DVT patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate anticoagulation nurse-led clinics
  • Receive referrals from General Practitioners and Consultants
  • Coordinate investigations and treatment for DVT patients
  • Participate in patient group directions to maintain safe anticoagulation
  • Coordinate patient discharge and ensure safe delivery of anticoagulation as an outpatient
Person Specification

We are looking for a nurse with a strong background in anticoagulation and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Two years of experience at Band 5 or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Demonstrated use of evidence-based practice in implementation of change
  • Experience within the speciality
Qualifications

We welcome applications from nurses with a strong educational background, including:

  • RGN / RSCN / RM
  • Willingness to work towards a postgraduate qualification in speciality
  • Teaching qualification
Skills and Abilities

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to function with a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy.
