Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing and implementing faith-rooted community organising practices within the Methodist Church, with a focus on supporting organising for justice, developing existing congregations, and beginning new forms of Christian communities.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Justice Team, Evangelism and Growth Team, and others to implement the Church's strategy in response to Our Calling and the Methodist Way of Life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a Connexional FRCO training strategy
  • Refine and embed the theological foundations of faith-rooted community organising
  • Develop and sustain a network of district officers
  • Lead on the development of external partner organising relationships

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in community organising, the ability to reflect theologically with diverse audiences, and skills as a skilled communicator and trainer.
