Join Our Team as a Functional Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) while ensuring a personalized, inclusive, safe, and empathetic service for our service users.

About the Role

As a Functional Specialist, you will be responsible for managing caseloads from end to end, including delivering face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports (PBR). You will have greater job variety and autonomy to manage cases to conclusion, assessing the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting our claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.

Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic
  • 1+ years post-qualification experience
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
What We Offer
  • Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500
  • 5% retention bonus, rising to 10% quality and retention bonus
  • OTE: £45,650
  • Hybrid full-time, part-time working hours available
  • Training options: 12 weeks (full-time), 14 weeks (4 days per week), and 17 weeks (3 days per week)
  • 25 days' holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service
