We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our client, a leading global facilities management company, in their search for a new Procurement Category Manager.
This exciting opportunity will involve supporting the company's award-winning services through their aggressive growth strategy.
The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work on a hybrid basis, with occasional travel between offices, and will be based in either Ipswich or Central London.
The role is initially a 12-month contract with a view to going permanent.
We are looking for a driven and ambitious Procurement Manager with experience in fleet management to take on this challenging and strategic position.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute a category strategy that aligns with the company's long-term goals and secures immediate success.
- Audit and assess current contracts to mitigate risks and implement improvements where necessary.
- Manage KPIs and SLAs with current suppliers to drive performance and achieve cost savings.
- Build and maintain sustainable relationships with suppliers, manage expectations, and communicate effectively to achieve a structured and resilient supply chain.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Indirect Procurement on high-risk or high-value opportunities.
- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities and implement cost-based reduction strategies to deliver annual target savings.
- Excellent diplomatic communication skills through a range of stakeholders up to c-suite.
- A track record of devising sourcing strategies and taking accountability for the strategic direction.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the supplier markets in technology, bringing commercial advantages to the business.
- Strong skills in influencing and negotiation.
- Analytical, results-driven, and a genuine team player.
- MCIPS desirable but not essential.
- Salary circa £70k DOE.
