**Role Overview:** We are seeking an experienced Year 6 teaching support professional to join our dedicated team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning and wellbeing in a friendly and welcoming school environment.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead small group sessions or parts of whole class activities in the absence of the class teacher.
  2. Maintain excellent classroom management, ensuring students remain focused and engaged.
  3. Provide effective pastoral support, fostering a positive learning environment and supporting pupils with emotional and behavioural needs.
  4. Demonstrate strong timekeeping and initiative, ensuring tasks and responsibilities are completed efficiently.
  5. Remain calm and professional when engaging with parents, de-escalating situations where necessary.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to maintain control in a busy classroom.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to offer support and reassurance to both students and parents.
  • Ability to take the lead when required, demonstrating confidence and a proactive approach to teaching and learning.
  • A calm and adaptable approach, capable of handling challenging situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Prior knowledge of SATs.

**Salary Range:** £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
