Job Summary

The Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Lead role at Work Lyf Group Ltd involves providing expert advice and support to staff across various departments. This includes interpreting relevant legislation, codes of practice, and relaying this information to staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rail safety, knowledge of relevant legal and industry standards, and a passion for improving HSE standards. As a key member of the QHSE team, you will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Provide guidance and support to operational teams on risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Document, investigate, and implement improvements following accidents.
  • Undertake occupational exposure monitoring and provide advice on risk management and health surveillance.
  • Assist with HSE audits and assessment plans.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and deliver HSE training programs.
  • Coordinate and facilitate safety committee meetings.
  • Promptly report metrics and performance data accurately.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with operational teams to develop and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of incidents, near misses, and other HSE-related events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, health and safety, or a related discipline).
  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate).
  • Minimum TechIOSH, preferred CertIOSH or equivalent.
  • Fully qualified driver with access to a vehicle.
