Job Title: Senior Physiotherapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Physiotherapy Assistant to join our Integrated Respiratory Team in North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) in the area of South West Essex.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and fast-paced team, providing high-quality care to patients with respiratory conditions. As a Senior Physiotherapy Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of respiratory services, including COPD management, pulmonary rehabilitation, and home oxygen services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of respiratory services, including COPD management, pulmonary rehabilitation, and home oxygen services.
  • Contribute to patient education and holistic support networks.
  • Assess and manage patients with respiratory conditions, including COPD and other suitably identified respiratory conditions.
  • Support the delivery of the Respiratory Virtual Ward (RVW) and Admission Avoidance and Early Supported Discharge pathways.
  • Perform quality FeNo and ARTP accredited Spirometry.
  • Support the development and implementation of respiratory services and pathways.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • AAP qualification.
  • NVQ L2 numeracy and literacy and evidence of continued learning.
  • Experience working in the NHS, preferably in a respiratory care setting.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • IT skills and ability to use electronic patient records.
