We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Services Operations Manager to join our team at Certas Energy UK Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the Routing & Day Zero coordination of drivers and management at our Hubs within the network.
Your primary focus will be on coordinating all delivered volume while optimising freight costs. You will work closely with our Routing & Day Zero team to ensure the efficient and legal operation of trucks and drivers, while achieving our volume through cost and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise, and upskill the Day Zero coordinator and Routing Team
- Supervise all routing processes for the NDC, including own fleet and third-party
- First line of escalation for all Day Zero issues and routing enquiries for next day and future
- Ensure control of all routing routines to optimise use of tanker fleet
- Investigate all day zero & routing failures, report outcome, and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Achieve all transport KPIs assigned, liaising with ops personnel to achieve this
- Ensure effective use of IT systems, in line with relevant Company policies and procedures
- Monitor, maintain, and improve all routing systems and planners
- Update all NDC out-of-hours files to ensure information is correct
- Cover Routing and Day Zero operations when required (possible weekend work on occasion)
- Create and manage office rotas
- Communicate with depot ops staff and third-party hauliers to ensure resource demands are met and prepare for any resource pinch points
- Support third-party invoicing process when required
- Be adaptable and able to manage workload according to changing business needs
