About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Director to join our team at the National Trust for Scotland. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our fundraising strategy, driving income generation across various streams, and supporting the Head of Fundraising in achieving our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement the overall fundraising strategy, ensuring alignment with the charity's priorities.
  • Collaborate with Fundraising Managers to maximize income and ensure the successful delivery of plans.
  • Support the measurement and evaluation of activity, identifying new fundraising opportunities and income streams.
  • Provide leadership and management to the fundraising team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a group of donors and prospects, working closely with the team to develop tailored proposals, reports, and communications.
  • Lead Fundraising Managers on major fundraising campaigns and appeals, from planning to execution and evaluation.
  • Assist in developing and managing the fundraising budget, monitoring income and expenditure to ensure financial targets are met.
Requirements
  • Results-focused with proven experience in delivering strategic fundraising campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to foster a culture of high performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with the Head of Fundraising and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary within the range of £53,676 - £59,368, along with significant company benefits. This role can be based anywhere across Scotland, with occasional travel to Edinburgh for meetings.
