About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Water Specialist to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in examining the hydraulics of systems to calculate and specify pump systems, developing plant room layouts, and ensuring designs meet the required performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing hydraulic system designs and specifications
  • Collaborating with other design disciplines to ensure design elements interface correctly
  • Working with clients to assist with project delivery, asset and network performance, and design
  • Producing engineering specification documents, lifting, access, and maintenance plans
  • Liaising with internal and external design teams, clients, and contractors as appropriate
  • Providing timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 'C/4' or above, including Mathematics & English

  • Some work experience or shadowing in an engineering environment would be an advantage
  • Demonstrate an interest and a desire to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering
  • Show an aptitude towards software-based engineering and drawing
  • Commitment to continued education and improvement through on-the-job learning and training opportunities
