Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Public Health Nursing Team for a School Nurse Assistant to support the implementation of associated screening assessments as identified in the Healthy Child Programme.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme to children in both Reception and Year 6, in line with local and national guidance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation of associated screening assessments as identified in the Healthy Child Programme.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of the National Child Measurement Programme to children in both Reception and Year 6.
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of hearing and vision screening to reception-aged school children.
  • Maintaining up-to-date clinical knowledge within their sphere of competence.
  • Liaising with parents and schools as required.
