About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our team at Pybus Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex vehicle systems, ensuring that our clients' vehicles are returned to manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnostic and Repair Work: Utilize your technical knowledge to carry out repairs and maintenance on customer vehicles, including minor and major mechanical work.
  • Electrical and Engine Repair: Complete major electrical and engine repair work, ensuring that all repairs meet the highest quality standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Meet and discuss the vehicle and repairs needed with the customer when necessary, providing excellent customer service and ensuring that all customer needs are met.
  • Vehicle Testing: Carry out road tests of customer vehicles after work has been carried out, ensuring that all vehicles are safe and roadworthy.
  • Diagnostic Equipment: Use advanced diagnostic equipment to fault find items relevant to the franchise brand, ensuring that all repairs are accurate and efficient.
  • Vehicle Health Checks: Ability to complete a Vehicle Health Check (VHC) ensuring that the (VHC) video completion meets target and exceeds all Vehicle (VHC) KPIs.
Requirements
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge to allow you to confidently and safely carry out repairs and maintenance of customer vehicles.
  • System and Equipment Familiarity: Demonstrate capability and confidence in using systems and equipment within the workshop.
  • Franchise Dealer Experience: Experience within a franchise dealer working to the highest quality standards.
  • Productivity Targets: Experience of working to productivity targets.
  • Teamwork: Working as part of a team to achieve the best results for the customer.
  • Qualifications: Qualified by experience in post or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Mentorship: Mentor & Coach apprentices and support less experienced team members.
