Job Title: HGV Maintenance Technician
">About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled HGV Maintenance Technician to join our team at Biffa. As an HGV Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of modern waste collection LGV/HGV vehicles in our workshops.
The role involves providing maintenance and repairs for waste collection vehicles and equipment consisting of various makes, models, and types, ranging from car-derived vans to artic units and trailers.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and repair of vehicle chassis and cab to VOSA requirements as well as MOT preparation and presentation
- Maintenance and repair of waste handling equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Vehicle fault diagnosis and rectification
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, both electronically and paper-based
- Support with H&S issues to maintain OHSAS18001 standard already achieved
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Effective verbal and written skills coupled with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Hold a valid driving license, Cat B
