We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Darwen. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students' academic and personal development. Working alongside the class teacher, you will help plan and deliver lessons that meet individual needs, while creating a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.



Main Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning activities.



• Provide regular feedback on student progress.



• Help students stay focused and manage their behaviour effectively.



• Monitor student development and maintain accurate records in line with school policies.



• Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.



Requirements:

• Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)



• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required for transporting students on a rota basis)



• GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or above) - essential



• Level 2 or higher qualification in Teaching and Learning Support (preferred)



• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices



• A positive, flexible attitude and commitment to student success
