Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. As a key member of our Structures team, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions for a wide range of projects.

About the Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of structural projects, working closely with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and integrated solutions. You will have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the development of our company's sustainable design practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of structural projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
  • Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and feedback to ensure their growth and development
  • Contribute to the development of our company's sustainable design practices, ensuring alignment with our net zero goals
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant civil or structural engineering degree
  • Chartered status or working towards becoming a chartered structural engineer
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and support junior team members
  • Experience of working with British Standards and CDM Regulations
