Research Associate in Neurological Disorders

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to join its laboratory. The successful candidate will work on a project aimed at understanding the progression of ALS using human 3D organoid models.
About the Role:
- The postholder will design and execute experiments to investigate the relationships between genomic changes and molecular pathways in ALS.
- The successful candidate will analyze data from human CNS organoid models and patient samples to identify potential therapeutic targets.
- Candidates will also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new experimental approaches.
Requirements:
- PhD or MD in biological or medical sciences.
- Practical experience with stem cell or cell-line cultures, general cell and molecular biology methods, vector preparation, and cloning.
- Desirable skills: human stem cell- or organoid-based cultures, genetics and CRISPR-editing, single-cell transcriptomics, proteomics, or molecular pathology expertise.
Salary: £44,000 - £49,000 per annum (depending on experience). This is a fixed-term appointment for two years.
