Job Title: Project Management Expert for Media Freedom

The Thomson Reuters Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Expert for Media Freedom to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Media Freedom Coalition's secretariat work on cases of concern, identifying opportunities for improvement, and developing strategies to optimize the speed, relevance, and impact of MFC interventions. You will also work closely with the Secretariat team and MFC stakeholders, including government officials, civil society experts, and legal experts from around the world.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a diplomatic approach, and the ability to communicate clearly and succinctly. Fluency in English is required, and other languages would be an asset. Experience working on media freedom issues and collaborative initiatives is a plus. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract, and the successful candidate will contribute to the continuation of the Media Freedom Coalition's mission to protect and promote media freedom worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the MFC's Secretariat's work on cases of concern
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and develop strategies to optimize the speed, relevance, and impact of MFC interventions
  • Work closely with the Secretariat team and MFC stakeholders, including government officials, civil society experts, and legal experts
  • Represent the Secretariat at meetings and events

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills and a diplomatic approach
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
