About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Forensic Nurse Examiner to join our team at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Forensic Nurse Examiner, you will play a critical role in providing holistic health and well-being assessments for individuals who have experienced sexual harm.

Working across our three Sexual Assault Referral Centres in Truro, Plymouth, and Exeter, you will work closely with police and other agencies to support prosecutions and provide expert evidence. You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in this specialist area, with access to ongoing training and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide forensic examinations for individuals who have experienced sexual harm
  • Conduct holistic health and well-being assessments
  • Work closely with police and other agencies to support prosecutions
  • Provide expert evidence in court
  • Develop and maintain your skills and knowledge in this specialist area

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse or Midwife with a valid NMC registration
  • Experience in a sexual health or forensic nursing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
