About the Job: As a Locum Clinical Oncology Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical expertise to the oncology team, reviewing and dispensing chemotherapy prescriptions, and conducting clinical reviews of oncology patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services to oncology teams, ensuring timely and accurate dispensing of chemotherapy prescriptions
  • Collaborate with clinicians to develop and implement personalized treatment plans for cancer patients
  • Conduct thorough clinical reviews of oncology patients to identify potential risks and optimize treatment outcomes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across disciplines to enhance patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in oncology pharmacy, including chemotherapy protocols and cytotoxic drug preparation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to oncology pharmacy practice

Estimated Salary: £48,500 per annum, based on location and experience.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • At least 2 years' experience working in an oncology pharmacy setting, preferably within the NHS
  • Strong understanding of chemotherapy protocols, cytotoxic drug preparation, and safe handling practices
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Right to work in the UK
