Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage flight plans, weather reports, and passenger lists to ensure accurate and timely information is available to flight crew and load control departments.
  • Understand and interpret aircraft weight and balance calculations to ensure safe and efficient loading of aircraft.

  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure the aircraft is loaded as intended and that all safety and security procedures are followed.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage the turnaround of an aircraft from arrival to departure, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal delays.
  • Operate air bridges and stand guidance systems to ensure safe and efficient movement of aircraft.
  • Develop and maintain an open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees and ensuring workplace standards are maintained.
  • Operate a variety of airline and Swissport computer systems and handheld devices to ensure accurate and timely information is available to team members.
  • Ensure compliance with all Swissport corporate safety and security procedures to meet/exceed regulatory standards and deliver the desired customer service experience.
  • Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels, including staff briefings, shift handover meetings, one-to-ones, and completion of relevant reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Swissport SOPs and policies to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure maximum efficiency in the operation of inbound and outbound flights, minimizing delays and disruptions.
  • Report any conflicts or irregularities and take appropriate action where necessary.
  • Perform daily/weekly assessments to ensure compliance with Swissport standards and procedures.
  • Conduct daily shift briefings to ensure all team members are aware of their responsibilities and any changes to procedures or schedules.
  • Responsible for maintenance of assigned equipment, materials, and documentation to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Contribute/assist with local emergency plans to ensure a safe and efficient response to any incidents or emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
