Job Description

At easyJet, we're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our Data Science and Analytics Centre of Excellence. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in driving analytics best practice across the business, transforming easyJet into a world-leading data-driven airline.

About the Role

We're seeking a talented individual with strong analytical and quantitative skills to lead and deliver successful data analytics projects. You'll work closely with our Data Science and Analytics team to identify and deliver the most appropriate data analytics solutions, ensuring seamless integration with our business functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver data analytics projects with minimal support from senior team members, providing decision recommendations that meet business requirements and enhance existing and new business processes.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of data analytics work, ensuring the most appropriate solutions are identified and delivered.
  • Participate in the majority of the data analytics project lifecycle, utilizing an intermediate knowledge level of the data analytics toolbox and a good understanding of the nuances of the easyJet business.
  • Support the management of the Federated Data Analyst community as a growing and thriving community of practice.
  • Provide recommendations on tools, capabilities, and best practices to optimize the performance of both the Data Analytics Centre of Excellence and the Federated Data Analyst community across the business.
Requirements
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated experience using data to drive business decisions in a commercial setting.
  • Experience of leading and landing successful data analytics projects in a commercial setting.
  • Demonstrable commercial experience in data and analytics.
  • Experience with SQL essential (any variation).
  • Experience with one or more scripting language (e.g. Python, R) to extract, manipulate, and summarize data from large databases.
  • Experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools (such as Tableau, Thoughtspot, PowerBI).
  • Delivery mindset, particularly when executing under challenging circumstances.
  • Experience of working in cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including storytelling with data.
  • Ability to marry up business need and analytical delivery, while confident and credible in explaining own analyses.
  • Good coaching skills and mentor junior colleagues and peers in your team.
