Job Summary

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled individuals to join our established Diabetes and Endocrine Department at Bedford Hospital, part of the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Physician in Diabetes, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders.

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders
  • Leading and participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Developing and implementing clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participating in educational activities to enhance the skills of junior staff

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register via CCT or CESR or eligibility to enter it within 6 months from the date of the interview
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Comprehensive knowledge and clinical expertise in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology
