Risk and Data Science Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Data Science Manager to join our team at Nationwide Building Society. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to lead our Data Science and Risk initiatives and drive business growth.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in data science and risk management, with experience in developing and implementing advanced analytical models and techniques. They will be responsible for leading a team of data scientists and risk analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality results.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data science techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities- Develop and implement advanced analytical models and techniques to drive business growth.
- Lead a team of data scientists and risk analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify business needs and develop solutions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders.
- Provide training and support to team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, identifying opportunities to leverage data science and risk management techniques to drive business growth.
- PhD, MSc or strong quantitative degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or related subject.
- Deep understanding of data science techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, and data visualization.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing projects, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
