Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Nuclear New Build business, where you'll have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects and develop your skills as a well-rounded professional.

As part of our Project Delivery Capability team, you'll be responsible for leading the delivery of AtkinsRéalis engineering projects or embedded into our clients' programmes. You'll work closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes, while also developing your skills in project management, stakeholder management, and communication.

Our Nuclear New Build business is at the forefront of the UK's nuclear industry, working on projects that are shaping the future of nuclear construction. You'll have the opportunity to work on a range of projects, from technical leadership to project management, and develop your skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll be expected to travel and work from client sites across the UK, as well as contribute to the development of our team's expertise and capabilities. You'll be supported by our experienced team and have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to help you succeed in your role.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Building on an ongoing track record of delivery against defined margin, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leading project teams and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Managing project budgets and resources.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks.
