Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as an Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor. As a key member of our construction project management team, you will be responsible for delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management, contract administration, and project coordination. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts according to project objectives and policies.
  • Monitor and report project costs, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Manage contract change effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
  • Drive improvements in forecast and budget accuracy.
  • Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate final accounts and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field.
  • Professional body membership or equivalent (ideally).
  • Contract Management (NEC3, Option C an advantage)
  • Cost Management
  • Change management and control
  • Valuation
  • Procurement
  • Reporting
  • Commission management
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
