The Venari Limited is seeking a skilled Field Radio Engineer to join their dedicated engineering team. This role involves providing bespoke technical solutions for customers and SMEs on all Radio Engineering.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build of bespoke technical solutions in line with customer requirements.
  • Provide Technical assurance to customers.
  • Preparation of CODEPLUGS/FLEET Plans for customer requirements (Motorola & Hytera).
  • Installation, Troubleshooting and maintenance of telecommunication equipments from different vendors: Hytera, Motorola, Tait, Simoco, Kenwood and Icom.
  • Site Maintenance and servicing.
  • Faults Management with log analysis, defects debug and work around responsibility.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years experience from within either military or commercial Radio communication.
  • RF propagation experience.
  • Strong IT experience specifically: database management & networking topologies & TCP/IP & DMR/PMR software applications.
  • Must either be currently SC (security cleared) or held previously and able to refresh without any issues.
  • Experience in fault finding across a multitude of telecommunication platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • RF fault diagnostics.
  • Broader technical skills, specifically in the design of bespoke solutions.

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of PMR programming software.
  • Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM and Hytera.
  • Trunk Radio (MPT1327) database management.
  • COTS radio repair down to component level, namely Tait, Simoco, Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM and Hytera.
