About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner Supervisor to join our Gateway Team at Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified Children's Wellbeing Practitioner or Educational Mental Health Practitioner to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development and delivery of our low-intensity service.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To provide operational and clinical support to low-intensity workers, ensuring the service adheres to clinical governance procedures and maintains high standards of quality and effectiveness.
  2. To assist in the provision of an effective and efficient service, dealing with telephone enquiries, GPs, staff from other teams, and other agencies, while maintaining good communication within the service.
  3. To help develop and promote the service, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the service user experience.
  4. To maintain effective staff relations, addressing any barriers or issues that may affect the quality and effectiveness of the service, and dealing with highly sensitive and complex information.
  5. To adhere to an agreed activity contract, relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week, to minimize waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.

Person Specification
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Evidence Based Psychological Therapies
  • Undergraduate degree and evidence of studying at a postgraduate level
  • Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in a mental health setting
Skills and Experience
  • Experience of planning services and working with diverse communities
  • Certificate in Supervision
