We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dispenser to join our team at Crick Medical Practice. As a Dispenser, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Dispensing medicines to patients in accordance with practice policy and legislation
- Maintaining accurate records and stock levels within the dispensary
- Providing patients with advice and guidance on prescription matters
- Processing prescription requests and managing repeat prescriptions
- Assisting the Dispensary Manager in the preparation of monthly returns
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent (Trainee role - training will be provided)
- GCSE (or equivalent) English & Maths at Grade C or above
- Experience working with the general public/patients
- Experience of working in a dispensary
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Strong IT skills
- Clear, polite telephone manner
- Competent in the use of Office and Outlook
- Ability to promote best practice regarding all pharmaceutical matters
- Effective time management (Planning & Organising)
- Ability to work as a team member and autonomously
- Good interpersonal skills
- Problem solving & analytical skills
- Ability to follow policy and procedure
We would also like to see the following qualifications and skills:
- Experience of working in primary care
- Broad knowledge of General Practice
- Emis web user skills
- Capable of managing payments (invoices, cash etc)
- Ability to effectively manage stock, including ordering, rotation, disposal etc.
Crick Medical Practice is a small, friendly rural practice with approximately 6,500 patients from Crick and surrounding villages. We are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients and are looking for a dedicated and skilled Dispenser to join our team.
