This is an exciting opportunity for doctors with an interest in leadership and management to develop their skills and knowledge within the Anaesthetic and Intensive Care teams at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

Job Summary

The Anaesthetic Leadership and Management Fellow will participate in an on-call rota and contribute to the operational and strategic management of the Anaesthetic department. The fellow will also work on various projects, including liaison with other specialties and professional groups, and present their work nationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in an on-call rota, including intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency theatre
  • Contribute to the operational and strategic management of the Anaesthetic department

Requirements
  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Previous employment in an anaesthetic capacity
  • Primary Medical Degree (MBChB, MBBS or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • FRCA/FCARCSI /FICM
  • Suitable experience for on-call anaesthetic work, including intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency theatre
  • Evidence of teaching at an undergraduate level
  • Interest in leadership and management / Basic understanding of management theory / Information technology skills
