Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and maintaining security within operational IT environments.
  • Assisting in the administration of user accounts, including creation, transfer, permissions, and leavers, ensuring all actions are delivered effectively.
  • Utilizing security tools for monitoring, logging, investigating, and resolving security issues, risks, or preventative measures.
  • Testing and pushing patches to servers and desktops.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis for specific security incidents.
  • Contributing to the resolution of action plans relating to standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
The estimated salary for this position is around $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
