We are excited to announce a new job opening for an Information Assurance Specialist to join our team in Newcastle Upon Tyne. This is a full-time position, based 2-3 days on site and the remainder working from home.

About the Role:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets. You will work closely with other teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks, implementing and maintaining effective security measures to protect our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures
  • Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure secure system development and deployment
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats and technologies

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a similar security role
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
