Job Overview

MLK Education Search is seeking an experienced Education Specialist to join a newly established independent school in West Drayton, Greater London.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with SEN children, particularly those with severe learning difficulties and autism.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging sessions, creating personalized learning plans, and working collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective learning strategies to enhance learner engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to review and enhance the Quality of Education.
  • Oversee pastoral care and positive behavior strategies to boost engagement and learning.
  • Manage a specific pathway, providing direct line management for the associated classes.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience teaching SEN children, especially those with severe learning difficulties and autism.
  • Familiarity with the EQUALS curriculum is advantageous.
  • Experience with non-linear developmental assessment frameworks is beneficial.
  • A strong passion for working with SEN children.
