Job Description

Parkinson Lee Executive Search is seeking a highly skilled Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to join a leading organization in the service sector.

About the Role

  • Lead the development of a world-class procurement and supply chain function, aligning with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership and direction to the procurement team, driving a shift from process-driven behaviors to a more dynamic, results-oriented approach.
  • Implement a Business Partnering approach, fostering strong, consultative relationships with internal stakeholders to drive commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and execute a procurement strategy that delivers tangible results in tender execution, contract management, and supplier performance.
  • Drive value creation across all procurement activities, ensuring the delivery of key objectives in supplier relationship management, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.
  • Support the ongoing transformation of the procurement function, aligning it with the organization's broader strategic goals, and contributing to the successful delivery of services.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement governance and maintain transparency throughout procurement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance procurement processes and align them with business processes.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials, services, and leasing agreements, ensuring efficient contract reviews, renewals, and tenders.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of purchasing systems, ensuring alignment with legal and financial regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Procurement and Financial regulations, overseeing all procurement activities within statutory limits.
  • Lead the management of lease contracts, stock, and other key assets.
  • Qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Proven leadership skills with extensive experience in senior procurement management within large and complex organizations.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Procurement regulations and public procurement directives.
  • Strong track record of managing complex projects and delivering them on time, within budget.
  • Experience developing a procurement service that seeks to partner with key stakeholders, driving commercial and procurement activity.
