We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker to join our team at Randstad. As a Specialist-one-to-one Study Skills Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing learning support and academic guidance to students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) studying at universities and colleges in London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized learning plans tailored to each student's needs, promoting independence and academic success.
  • Support students in developing strategies for organization, time management, and research skills.
  • Collaborate with students to create action plans, ensuring they stay on track with their studies.
  • Assist students in building on their strengths and learning strategies, including comprehension skills in reading and writing.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Membership with one of the following professional bodies: British Dyslexia Association (BDA), Professional Membership The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE), Dyslexia Guild, or The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS).
  • Desirable skills include experience working with clients with specific learning difficulties, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to identify ways of helping students build on their learning strengths.
