Senior Mental Health Services Manager

About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Manager to lead our Approved Mental Health designated boroughwide service and Rapid Discharge Team in Ealing Council's Mental Health Social Care Service.
Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of professionals providing mental health support services to vulnerable clients, ensuring seamless care delivery in line with core values and behaviours of the Council and Better Lives.
About the Team: Our mental health social care/social work service supports individuals with mental health issues requiring care and support. Key responsibilities include undertaking strength-based assessments under The Care Act Assessments, progressing to Support Planning, risk assessment, section 117 aftercare planning, and carrying out Mental Capacity Assessments.
What You'll Do: As a Team Manager, you will work closely with healthcare colleagues, occupational therapists, psychologists, and district nurses to provide high-quality services for our service users. Your role will involve leading by example, supporting staff development, collaborating with key stakeholders, and promoting quality service delivery.
Key Requirements: Applicants must have extensive knowledge and experience of The Mental Health Act and the code, ensuring the least restrictive option in all decision-making. Strong leadership and management skills are essential, as well as a passion for staff development and quality service delivery.
About Us: Ealing Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, expecting all staff to share this commitment. This involves safer recruitment practices to protect vulnerable adults. The post holder will undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and Ealing's enhanced vetting process.
Salary Package: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
