About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TechOps Generalist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in defining and implementing our technical operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional technical support to our employees, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with our Security team to ensure the right balance between security, productivity, and user experience.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve our processes and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain our office networks, including Cisco Meraki infrastructure.
  • Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes for SaaS and hardware.
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders, driving business outcomes and delivering results.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading technical projects across various technologies and platforms.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, with experience using APIs and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting, managing, and deploying applications to macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management systems like Okta or Microsoft Entra.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies such as OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
  • Understanding of identity provisioning technologies such as SCIM.
