Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Fitter Technician to join our client's team on a 3-month contract with potential for extension or permanence. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced workshop environment, responsible for building machines and completing assembly work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building machines and completing assembly work.
  • Working predominantly on Pneumatics, Belts, Bearings, and Chains.
  • Using manual handling equipment where required.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience working in a workshop, field service, or mechanical manufacturing environment.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding mechanical drawings and possessing a sound knowledge of pneumatics.

Benefits

  • £18 per hour salary, plus plenty of overtime opportunities.

This role is based in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire, making it easily commutable from surrounding areas.
