We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team in Dundee, Scotland. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and troubleshooting public-facing Linux services in various hosting environments with an emphasis on database technologies.

About the Role
  • Work closely with development teams to develop, deploy, and support applications.
  • Architect solutions for new and existing projects, utilizing configuration management and custom scripts to deploy and manage systems.
  • Manage disaster recovery, including ongoing backup policy refinement.
Requirements
  • 5 years of systems engineering experience in large-scale environments.
  • Mastery of Linux (RHEL/Centos preferred) support experience in large-scale environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of web architecture and related applications, including Apache, Nginx, Python, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Postfix, and CDN integrations.
  • Experience managing data warehouse platforms and tooling.
  • Configuration management experience with Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
