About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Health and Wellbeing Support Worker to join our team at Change Grow Live. As a key member of our team, you will provide psychosocial support to individuals within the prison estate, working in partnership with other healthcare providers to deliver an Integrated Health and Wellbeing model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychosocial support to individuals within the prison estate, focusing on substance misuse issues and mental health interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure effective coordination of treatment and support services.
  • Contribute to risk management processes, including the prison's ACCT process.
  • Support the induction process for new reception prisoners and provide assistance with in-cell workbooks.
  • Co-facilitate group interventions, such as Foundations of Rehabilitation and SMART Recovery.
About You
  • You will have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience working within a similar field, ideally within the prison or criminal justice sector.
  • You will be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with good IT skills.
  • You will be proactive, able to work independently, and possess excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • You will be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and stakeholders.
