Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Quantitative Strategist to join our Energy and Commodity Trading team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in economics, statistics, and mathematics, and be adept at using these skills to analyze complex data. You will work closely with other market analysts to interpret data, identify patterns, and make recommendations based on your findings. Your role will involve developing and applying econometric models to analyze complex data, including energy fundamental data, as well as providing actionable insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating complex concepts clearly and concisely to traders, structurers, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. You should also have around 3-5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the energy trading sector. Commercial thinking and ability to see opportunities in data and trends are essential. You should be highly analytical and numerate with strong attention to detail, as well as excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Experience with statistical software and programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Bloomberg API is desirable. Finally, you should be able to manage moving deadlines and changing priorities, maintain a flexible mindset, and stay updated with the latest developments in the industry.
