We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Project Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a Commissioning Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Mechanical Engineers in the Weapons Test Section.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Mechanical rip outs for the Weapon Test Section.
- Review and author test documentation in relation to the Weapons Test Section.
- Plan and develop mechanical engineers in the Weapon Test Section.
- Deputise for the Weapons Managers in their absence and act as temporary lead, covering all weapons section meetings.
- Act as signing member of the weapons test group.
- Liaise with other test departments and sections to ensure safe control of work.
- Good commissioning knowledge of Submarine Weapons Handling Systems.
- Strong understanding of the Installations and Final Installation process for mechanical systems.
- Experience of reviewing mechanical and weapons technical documentation and drawings.
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering subjects or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader/Mentor.
- Knowledge of HP & LP Air and Hydraulic Systems.
- Experience of DSEAR (Dangerous Substance, ATEX-Explosive Regulation) and CHARN/ISO regulations and standards.
- Stakeholder engagement and interface skills.
