At Crew Clothing Head Office, we're on the lookout for an exceptional Product Development Manager to join our team. As a critical member of our product development process, you'll be responsible for driving profitable sales growth by managing the delivery of our Crew product range.

About the Role:

We're looking for someone with experience in buying and developing ranges, who can work closely with our suppliers to deliver high-quality products that meet our customer expectations. Your primary focus will be on assisting our Buyer in ensuring smooth product development processes, from design to production, while maintaining commercial viability.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Buyer in all aspects of product development, including buying and developing ranges in line with agreed plans and business strategies
  • Manage contracting orders to suppliers for all departments, delegating tasks to relevant teams as necessary
  • Oversee the accuracy of buying information entered into the range plan, ensuring timely completion
  • Develop and manage sample tracking, photoshoot samples, and fit sessions, working closely with technical teams
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and manage invoicing and courier charges
  • Work cross-functionally with merchandising, sourcing, and other departments to drive collaborative success

Critical Path and Fit Process:

  • Update and manage the critical path weekly, reporting exceptions to channel launch dates
  • Liaise regularly with direct teams, merchandising, and technical through garment approval stages
  • Delegate or approve fabrics, colours, and garment trims to delivery, ensuring timely completion
  • Attend fit sessions and approve garments through technical staging, reporting any QC issues
  • Raise and follow up on debit notes for late deliveries, ensuring accurate listing on logistics reports

Samples and Storage:

  • Ensure timely delivery of SMS and photoshoot samples according to critical path
  • Manage SMS trackers and liaise with channels on handover
  • Manage invoicing and courier charges for SMS samples within budget
  • Organise and store samples effectively, delegating department tidiness as necessary

People and Teamwork:

  • Manage workload of Admin Assistant, prioritising tasks and deadlines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive proof approvals for product collateral and input buying information into product databases

About You:

We're looking for someone with excellent communication, organisational, and computer literacy skills. Prior experience in buying and product development is essential, with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills are also vital, as you'll be working closely with suppliers and internal teams.
