Public Sector Financial Reporting Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled professional to join our Public Sector Financial Reporting team. As a Public Sector Financial Reporting Manager, you'll critically review draft public sector financial statements, draft responses to complex financial reporting queries, and lead on the drafting of internal guidance and training materials.
You'll work closely with our audit teams, contribute to the firm's responses to technical consultations, and keep up to date with current professional debates. Your excellent grasp of IFRS accounting standards and their implementation in the public sector will enable you to respond to client accounting queries effectively.
What You'll Need- Professional Accounting qualification (CIPFA, ACA, ICAS, CA, or ACCA)
- Post-qualification experience in External Audit to Local Authorities and Health bodies or from within a Local Government or Health finance function
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting in the public sector
- Project management experience
- Business development experience would be beneficial
