Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nursing professional to fill the role of Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strong clinical leadership skills and inspiring the nursing team towards a common goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Assist in the rostering and allocation/approval of bank & agency staff to meet the needs of the ward.
- Coordinate the day-to-day running of the ward, ensuring that all aspects of patient care are met.
- Deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse in their absence, taking on full responsibility for the ward.
- Deal with complaints in a calm and efficient manner, providing a high level of customer service.
- Act as a role model in delivering safe and effective patient care, setting a high standard for the nursing team.
- Assess, plan, and implement care, providing specialist advice and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff in monitoring, planning, delivery, and evaluation of individualised care.
Requirements:
- Strong clinical leadership skills and experience in a similar role.
- Ability to inspire and motivate the nursing team towards a common goal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of customer service skills.
